Three Arrested in Connection with Fatal Shooting in South San Jose

Three men have been apprehended by authorities in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred two months ago in South San Jose. The incident took place on May 26 at approximately 2:45 p.m. at an apartment located in the 1000 block of Blossom River Way, near the intersection of Winfield Boulevard and Blossom Hill Road. San Jose police spokesperson Stacie Shih provided this information in a news release.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Sadly, the victim, identified as 21-year-old Jonathan Isaac Oliva Rodriguez of San Jose, was pronounced dead on-site. This incident marked the 15th homicide in the city this year.

Following an investigation, three suspects were identified as Nuuvali Lafo, 19, of San Jose; Isaac Noa, 24, of Los Banos; and Jason Vaavaai, 25, also of Los Banos. On Tuesday, Noa and Vaavaai were apprehended in Los Banos, while Lafo was arrested in San Jose. All three individuals have been booked into the Main Jail in San Jose on charges of murder.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide are currently under investigation. San Jose Police Department urges anyone with information related to the case to contact Detective Sgt.
